music city gal

October 18, 2010

Wondering where I’ve been? I recently moved. New city + new home. The building I moved into is over 200 years old. It once was a factory and still has many of the unique quirks from it’s former days. Some of the features that sold me on this loft are the original hardwood floors, exposed brick and the industrial vibe. I’ve been trying to get settled in for the past month. And I’m proud to report that all the boxes are finally empty and it’s beginning to feel like home.

    Hi, Ann:

Although I’d purchased your fabric recently, I only just found your blog. It’s so beautiful. After seeing the title for this post, I had to check out your profile, and I love your story! I, too, am from Nashville (although, I now live in DC), and I work in government/politics but dream of a craftier life. Anyway, it just hit close to home, so I thought I’d share how much I enjoyed reading it!

    Thanks,
    Mandy

Hi Mandy! I’m so glad you found me. I lived in DC one summer while working in the policy field. It’s one of my favorite cities.
