my favorite color
December 6, 2010A couple of months ago, my nine year old cousin, Allie, asked me what my favorite color was. “Hmm. I don’t know” I said. Well, I’ve been thinking about this question for 2 months now. There is one color that I love: pink. If you look around my house, you won’t see any pink decor. I hardly wear clothes that are pink. It’s only when you look in my drawers, cupboards, etc. that you discover I have A LOT of pink stuff. In fact, I’ve been known to squeal in stores after finding “pink” items. (Don’t you think a vintage pink filing cabinet is worth a scream?) I try to sneak pink into all of my designs . . . they just don’t feel right without pink. But, I still don’t know if it’s my favorite color. I like all colors. Pink just makes me the happiest.

Green is mine! Only certain greens, like leaves & grass or key limes. and greeny-blues… love them.
Also have a thing for orange I guess too, deep rusty oranges…WITH the greeny blues.
I used to be one of those people who didn’t think orange, pink & red should be mixed up together, but now I like it. I love my ‘remix’ fabric that does this! Reminds me of growing up in the 80′s, but it’s still so completely modern at the same time.
p.s. your headphones are AWESOME!
Ah yes. Pink. Makes me happy too. There is just something about that colour. Maybe it makes me feel all girly again. I think it has something to do with that. The colour pink connects with the little girl in me, with a head filled with dreams and fantasies and the conviction that they all will come true. How could that not make one feel happy?
PINK PINK PINK !!!
Red is mind mainly but there is something about green that makes me smile
I love pink too! I have been stalking your blog for a while now, and thought it was time to comment and let you know that I am in love with your fabrics. Thank you for designing them…they are so fun and happy! I love your pink and red Bible, by the way!
Thanks Becky! I’m glad you like my fabrics! I like my bible too. I had an old brown bible that I loved . . . I knew how to flip the pages to go to exactly the scripture I wanted to read, it was nicely broken in, etc. But, the cover came completely off. I even looked into getting it repaired, but it wast going to be too expensive. I was bummed and refused to get a new one for awhile, but when I saw the pink bible, it softened the blow of turning in my old bible:)
Karin, I couldn’t have explained it better. That’s exactly what pink does for me!
Thank you Charlotte! I’m glad you like my Remix fabric. I like green, too! Especially grass green.
I loveeeeeee pink aswell. I think that comes from being in a house of boys where there is very limited pink and what little there is,is disliked or grumbled about!!!
I am in love with your pink suitcase!!!
i love your Bible cover, years ago I made one for my MOM but not myself, hers I made with a zipper around it and pockets inside for her notebook. i have to admit that i really like yours and think I’m going to go make a cover of my own. thanks for sharing. God bless you Anne
I love your pink collection, so cheery! Can you tell me what font you used for “my bible” and “iphone cover”?
Thanks Anika! The font I used was “FG Alison.”
hi kelle!
pink is my all time fav, too….(and turquoise). love, love, love!
and, i adore those super cute nike’s….do tell where i can get a pair, i need new running shoes…they are perfection!
thanks for cheering up my snowed in day today with all the fun color..
Thanks, Shelly! They are the Nike LunarGlide. I really like them out of all the running shoes I’ve worn and trust me, I’ve gone through a lot. I wear a custom orthotic, so I don’t know how much that has to do with them being comfortable. I like how light they are.
