This weekend I’m going to a music concert with friends to see my childhood “crush” group. Needless to say, I’ve been listening to their music all week and feel like a school girl getting ready for the sock-hop. In my overly-bubbly state, I thought it would be fun to do a fabric giveaway. (I came up with this idea at the gym. Thank you, Mr. Adrenaline). To enter the giveaway, you simply have to leave a comment with your “guess” as to whom I’m going to see in concert. To help, I’ve given you three clues. (The pictures are based on the titles of the groups’ songs). The winner will be selected randomly on Friday for one yard of fabric. Have fun!

My guess is New Edition.
New Edition? Although I could not stop hearing “Candy” by Cameo over and over in my head after pic 2 🙂

Well the minute I saw candy I thought of candy girl but didn’t have a clue about the others. Thought I would just have a guess at new edition and then saw that was what everyone else has said. Looked and saw that others have confirmed the others are new edition songs.

Well…New Edition is a little bit before my time. When I hear their name, I think of [Bobby Brown, of course! and then..]Bel Biv Devoe’s Poison! Takes me back to a point in time when I was 10 and thought I could end up an r&b singer! haha… Anyone else have the soundtrack in your mind change to Maestro Fresh Wes with ‘Let your Backbone Slide’? Maybe that is the Canadian showing in me!

I kind of cheated here. I saw everyone saying New Edition. However, now I am educated as I read their wikipedia page and watched two of the music videos. Enjoy the concert! I’m curious what they look/sound like now.
