print and pattern

January 18, 2011

When I switched careers and entered the design world, I was a ball of nerves. I wasn’t sure if I made the right decision and I knew nothing about graphic design. Nothing. Nada. I didn’t know how to work a Mac, let alone any of the graphic design programs. I had never even taken an art class.  As I newbie designer, I fell in love with the Print and Pattern blog. I was blown away by the designers that were featured on the blog and I could only hope that one day my designs would be so good. So, you can imagine how I felt when Bowie from Print and Pattern featured me in her book. Thank you so very much, Bowie. It meant a lot.

How great – being acknowledged by those who’ve inspired you! Good for you.

p.s. Your Urban Zooligie fabrics are favorites of my customers! I just began using some of your argyle and can’t wait to get a hold of the brown/green apples! Beautiful.

  3. I LOVE this book! I ordered it as soon as it was released and it’s one of my favorite “go to” resources when I need a little inspiration! Your designs are FAB! I subscribe to your blog and not only is your art inspiring, but you are as well…I took the plunge last year and enrolled in art school and I’m majoring in graphic design as well…no previous art experience other than what I’ve taught myself…was I crazy? I hope not! Hugs!
