quilt market 2011 recap

November 01, 2011

The fall quilt market was so much fun. I had a blast. The Robert Kaufman team did a great job on the Urbanista booth, which I was a part of with Laurie Wisbrun and Marie Perkins.  On Saturday, Robert Kaufman arranged a “meet and greet” for me. If you didn’t know, I’m a bit of an introvert. So, I was nervous about standing in a booth. But, I was greeted so warmly by shop owners and franies (friends + fans), I quickly came out of my little shell.  I absolutely LOVED meeting new people, connecting names with faces, and seeing old friends again. I also loved being able to catch up with fellow designers. (Working from home can sometimes feel like I’m in a bubble). The picture above is kind of like “Where’s Waldo?” . . . can you make out all the things that are coming out?  I’m waiting for my samples to arrive to share photos of all the new goodies.

Aww it’s us! So happy that this weekend happened! 🙂

  4. I saw you so many times from across a crowded room (how’s that for a cliche?) but never got the chance to say hello.

The booth looked great, and I loved the fabric. And BTW, you are stunningly beautiful.
