This year seems to be zipping on by rather quickly. I was talking about it with a friend last week and we were trying to figure out how to slow things down. We really didn’t come up with any ideas. So, if you have any suggestions, let me know. Anyhow. Here’s a free desktop wallpaper download I made for you. It kinda reminds me a fruit. It’s available in two colors. Find the link to download below.

One of my favorite things about being a fabric designer is seeing all the cool things that are being made with my fabric. I stumbled upon the brand, Made to Play, recently. Their store is full of fun items. They’ve used my chickens and owls in children’s aprons, as well as my plus print in fabric bunting.
They also have super hero capes and these really fun dino capes. They’re not made from my fabric, but they’re too adorable not to share with you. Be sure to visit Made to Play to see all of their fun handmade goodies!

I’m super excited to share with you my new fabric collection, Sea and Sun. If you’ve been a reader of this blog for awhile, you’ve heard me talk about the beach. I spent many of my summers at the beach. Playing in the sand, jumping waves, building sand castles, collecting sea shells, etc. are just a few things we’d do. It’s my happy spot. I hope you enjoy this fabric collection inspired by one of my favorite places to be.

I have a free download to share with you today. I made this print a few years ago as a free download. But, I decided to hold off because I wasn’t sure about the message — “think happy, be happy.” It sounded kinda cheesy and cliche. However, I’ve been reading and practicing thinking about things that are true, good, lovely, etc. Focusing on being “okay” no matter what the circumstances may be . . . something I’ve gotta get better at. And I decided, you know what, cheesy is sometimes good. Because the truth is, we are what we think. And in honor of cheesy, I made the print yellow. Have great day, full of happy thoughts. Download your free print here.

Today I’m sharing with you one of my new fabric collections, Back To School. My Mama and sister are both teachers. (I was also a substitute teacher after college.) So, teachers hold a special place in my heart. I hope you enjoy the new fabric collection.
I think drawing school supplies was the funnest! I basically pulled out all of my supplies and drew them! Does anybody else geek out over back to school supplies? Or is that just my sister and I? I always loved getting new school supplies at the beginning of school, especially a new box of crayons.
I have a lot of apple designs. They’re one of those things that I can (and do!) draw over and over again.
No back to school collection would be complete without a school bus design.
The Girl Friends are included in this collection. Drawing their little outfits was so fun . . . and the knee socks!!
There’s a fabric panel that’s included the Back to School fabric collection. (It measures approximately 23.5 x 41.5 inches).

Ready for a Fall sneak peek? I took all my favorite things about October and put them in a collection. Costumes, pumpkins, candy corn and candy! The samples for this collection came in early. I actually had them last October. I reallllly wanted to share them with you then, but I had to wait until the release date. We’re also releasing my new Urban Zoologie kitties to coordinate with this collection.
A couple of the costumes are based on costumes from my childhood. My favorite costume was (still is) a black cat. The little pirate is my little brother. He wore a “pirate costume” as a kid. It was the cutest!
I think I need a candy corn dress!
The “Pumpkin Fun” fabric collection ships to stores May 2016.

Happy Spring! I’m so glad springtime is finally here. I had a ton of fun times this past Winter. Sledding in the snow, drinking hot cocoa, cuddling under quilts, etc. But, it’s always those cold and dreary days that get me. Thankfully, the sun has been out and it’s been absolutely gorgeous in Nashville this past week. In honor of Spring, here are some free desktop wallpapers. Happy Spring!

Typically, as SOON as I finish a collection, I want to share it with you. Like, right then and there. This was one of those times. I couldn’t wait to share this new collection with you! I had so.much.fun drawing these sporty kids. In addition to boys, the Girls Friends make an appearance in this collection. I actually drew them first and then decided to add the boys. The “boy” sports were inspired by all the sports my little brother played growing up. (I forgot swimming! Sorry, Cholin.) You might not be able to see all the sports characters. Between the girls and guys, here is a list: ballerina/dancer, baseball player, football player, karate, soccer, tennis player, basketball, skater, and cheerleader. It was hard narrowing down the sports! Maybe there should be a part two!

I found these quilt photos that I meant to share with you awhile ago. The Seeing Spots quilt is great when you have a bunch of prints you want to use in a quilt. Plus, the pattern is FREE right here. I worked on the placement of all my fabric prints for this quilt. I used my Urban Zoologie minis, Remix and Kona solids. I also designed a pink version. Happy Sewing and enjoy the free quilt pattern.

You would think that since I design personalized stationery, I’d have an over abundance of my own personal stationery. Nope. Not true at all. In fact, I didn’t have ANY personalized stationery until recently. Now I have something to write thank you notes for all the goodies I got over Christmas. Below are links to all the sets. For many of them, I also designed mailing address labels. See all of the thank you cards here and my personalized stationery here.
Notably dotted. Available in Blush, Green or Lemon.
Daring Divide. Available in Heather, Blush or Reef. Address labels, journals and thank you notes are also available.
Thankful Script. Address labels are also available.

For the past year, I have shared monthly illustrations of The Girl Friends. Today marks the 12th illustration! There were months that I wasn’t sure I would be able to do an illustration, but I thankfully, I was able to contribute to the monthly series (even if it was very last minute). I hope you’ve enjoyed them! You might see some of them in the future! To review all the post, I’ve included links above.

A few weeks ago I shared a tutorial for fabric ornaments. Well, while perusing the Sew Very blog, I also found this adorable placemat tutorial. (I told ya, SewVery has some really cute free Christmas sewing tutorials!) We made one to sit out on Christmas Eve for Santa treats. It would be really fun for Christmas morning breakfast or dinner, too. Find the free here. (Also, while editing the photo, I saw one of the raspberry was shaped like a heart. So cool!)

Here are links to my past Jingle collections : Jingle 1 / Jingle 2 / Jingle 3. A few of the older prints of them are still in print! The newest Jingle prints ships to stores in June 2016.
One of the things I’m most excited about with this collection are the new stocking panels!
We also have regular panels with some of my holiday critters in their seasonal attire.

Boy oh boy, I’ve been pretty bad at not sharing my new Cuddle fabric. Sorry about that! Many of my designs, such as Princess Life, Urban Zoologie, and Jingle, are also available on Cuddle fabric. To keep up to date on what cuddle fabric I have, my friends over at Shannon’s Fabric has the latest cuddle news. They manufacture all of my cuddle fabrics. Pat Wodskow of Cuddle Soft Kits made me an early Christmas present that I absolutely LOVE. It’s pretty much my go to quilt these days! It’s been perfect for naps, extra warmth at night or just for cozy time on the couch! If you’re interested in sewing with cuddle fabric, Cuddle Soft Kits is a great resource for all things cuddle. There’s a pretty large assortment of cuddle quilt kits (including the cuddly goodness I’m snuggled with). She also has readmade cuddle quilts (including Christmas)! Below are some of my other Jingle cuddle prints. You can see all of my cuddle designs here.
