happy thanksgiving

I’ve been waiting for Thanksgiving since . . . well, since last Thanksgiving. It kicks off my favorite time of year. And although I try to practice gratitude everyday, it’s nice to have a time that’s all about thankfulness. There’s so many things I’m thankful for. This year hasn’t been without the “not-so good things.” But, there have so many really great things. So much so, that my eyes fill with tears and my heart is filled with gratitude to God. I’m thankful to and for God for so much. He’s a good, good Father. I’m thankful for my family. My friends. God’s love. His peace. Hope. And because they’re thankful too, the Girl Friends wanted to be in on this post. (See below.) I can’t believe it’s already November, friends. This year I’ve been sharing monthly illustrations of The Girl Friends. I only have one more to go! I hope everyone in the States has a very Happy Thanksgiving!

I agree in trying to be kind and show gratitude daily. It is sad how so many actually get more worked up at the holidays. Or show only that care during the season. God is so good! Just two days ago was such a give and receive day! I thanked a Vietnam vet for his service and two firemen as well. I returned home to receive a thank you letter and photo from our sponsored child which is always such a joy! I also received a $75 coupon from Zappos! It was just one of the days where good was being spread. 🙂 Have a lovely and relaxing Thanksgiving!
